Coronavirus Pandemic

Along with the rest of the world, the focus this month is on saving the lives of our most vulnerable.

Richard Watts Charities' residents are all over 65 and 55 of them are over 70 years old.  They are self-isolating in their homes with the wardens overseeing their safety together with cleaners and those home help staff who are able to be redeployed, helping with laundry and shopping.   Home Helps are maintaining contact with their clients in an attempt to keep their spirits up. Other staff are working from home as much as possible though some key processes can only be carried out from the office.  OutPensioners continue to receive their monthly pensions from the Charities.  Trustees' meetings are continuing but in a virtual form using emails and feedback forms to deal with the matters of Governance.
