St Catherine’s 700 Years and Counting...

The original St Catherine’s Hospital was founded in 1316 by Symond Potyn. The hospital in its original form no longer exists but the modern day version forms part of Richard Watts Charities and is actually its oldest constituent part. To mark the hospitals’ 700th anniversary an afternoon tea has been arranged for the residents of St Catherine’s, past and present, on 30th April. Reverend Joel Love has agreed to come along to mark the occasion with the unveiling of a commemorative plaque and bench.

Funding for School Trips

The Delce Academy has been awarded £1,000 towards the costs of an outward bound week for children in their Years 3 and 4.

Elaine Primary Academy has also been awarded £1,000 to help fund Year 6 children to attend the JCA Activity Centre in Hampshire.
