Watts Opening 8th & 9th September​
As part of the national Heritage Open Days event celebrating England's heritage and culture Watts Almshouses will open to the public on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th September 10am-4pm. Visitors can tour the grounds with a guide and view an almshouse; one of the original almshouses will be open where possible. You can also visit the exhibition in the Board Room and discuss the services provided by Watts Charities. Refreshments and home-made cakes will be on sale.

Award Winning - The Six Poor Travellers' House

We are delighted that visitors have voted our museum in Rochester High Street the Number 1 historic site to visit in Rochester.

The Six Poor Travellers' House was Richard Watts Charities original Almshouse. It was converted into a small museum in 1979 to mark the 400th anniversary of Richard Watts' death.
​
Visitors can learn about Richard Watts Charities; its long established presence in Rochester and the work still going on today supporting local people or just relax in the peaceful courtyard garden. A warm welcome awaits you.

Grant Awarded to Action for Borstal Community (ABC)
Trustees awarded £415 to Action for Borstal Community to help pay for their annual pre-school summer coach trip to Wingham Wildlife Park. The award means that ABC don’t need to charge parents for the trip and it remains accessible to all the children involved.
