Watts Summer Fete

Our second annual summer fete will take place on Saturday 18 June, from 10:00am until 2:00pm.

New for this year: a bouncy castle, sand art, a Pimms tent, plus the Patients Participation Group of the Thorndike Medical Practice will be coming along with their ‘smoothie bike’ which turns fruit into smoothie drinks as you peddle! They also offer basic heath checks and advice.  Come along to sample these and the old favourites – plants for sale, home-made cakes, handmade soft toys, tombola and much more.

Annual Review 2015

It was a good year last year.  We spent less than we earned and still managed to make grant payments and fund some large scale building works.  During 2015 support grants were made amounting to £50,424 to:

  • 3 individuals for training and general support

  • 6 local organisations and 6 schools

  • 26 children for school uniforms

  • 91 university grants to A’ level students

  • 1 apprenticeship grant to a school leaver

  • 6 awards for domestic items for families.
